Be Gentle Rain

I’m going to Alaska and Vancouver, BC in May. You know, you can get quite good deals in the “shoulder” seasons if you are willing to brave the unpredictable Mother Nature. I don’t mind, in fact I think I like it. I like the fact that there are fewer crowds, I like the savings and I like the unpredictability of things. This time I’m taking a cruise out of Vancouver, BC.
The cost of travel has risen with the weak dollar and the cost of fuel for Americans. As a result, many are choosing to stay on their home continent or looking for a cruise as an affordable alternative to cultural eclecticism. I’m quite looking forward to visiting Vancouver again. It’s been years since my last visit and I have to admit that it is largely a green blur. A provocative, great smelling green blur and I seem to remember flowers too, but last time I was there; well let’s just say it was late summer.
I will be doing my research before visiting Vancouver, but if anyone has any “must sees” or weirdly different areas they recommend, please email me at ra@seamaidentravel.com.
